Subtitles and Arial Bold and some remarks

Hi,
Not sure it is problem on my Mac but it seems that Arial Black, that I had as default subtitle font after v 2.0 installation, is not suitable for all character encoding. In Central European it does show rectangles instead some accented characters.
I had previous VLC versions installed before so not sure Arial Black is default or I made it but I guess I would saw that problem before in case I would had chosen it.
I think Black version is really best one but not sure that Mac OS X version is suitable for all systems. Arial works fine but finding right ratio of size/style is more difficult.
It would be wonderful if subtitles appearance could be altered on the fly without reopening movie. And some of advanced settings would be fine in basic dialog. Advanced ones are so complicated and do not open at appropriate section and you have to search it.
Thanks
