VLC 2.0 report

Hello everyone,

I'm not complaining but just giving some experience to enable developer to improve the release (wrong section ?).
Just so you know : Mac OS X 10.6.8 on MacBook Pro Core Duo (1st gen).

1st remark : no way to quit VLC 2.0 properly, it always crashes when I click "Quit" and asks for bug report.

2nd remark : valuable for VLC since 1.2.x I think !

No way to play directly the subtitles.
I'm using VLC 1.0.5 because it's the last one which display automatically the subtitles if the files have the same name.
Since then, VLC see there is a .srt file, it's possible to select it in the menu (Video => Subtitle => Track 1), but nothing happen.
The only way is to click on Open Subtitle, search it in the Finder and open. Quit annoying when you think about the fact that even the older version works properly.

Hope these may help.
I can make some screenshots if I'm not clear enough.

Cya.

Please file 2 bug reports on trac and give the crash log for the first one and screenshot for the second one.

Similar to ticket 5779?
On my environment, this issue still happens when I quit VLC during playing video.
If I stop (not pause) the video, this issue doesn't happen.(EDIT: THIS ISN'T TRUE)
So, I reopend the ticket 5779.

EDIT:
VLC also crashes when I quit at playlist window both on vlc-2.0.0-rc1 and vlc-2.1.0-git.

Works for me.
But if it doesn't work, as JB said, you should file a bug report with log, screenshots, sample file.

I already filed in a bug report yesterday before registering on this forum for the 2nd remark.
Didn't have the time for the first one, it's done know.

nkoriyama : for me it happens all the time, whatever I do on VLC.
I just noticed that I can't do "pause" or "stop" when a video is played. It's true for both subtitled and non-subtitled video ! VLC does not crash but "Quit" (and then crashs) is the only way to stop the video playing ! (bug report sended).

For subtitles : I never read someone having the same trouble, that's why I think it's bizarre...
The trick I used for 1.1.2 / 1.1.3 and some others (open subtitles separately with "Open Subtitles" box) doesn't work for 2flowers. "Open a file" is grey and no way to click it.
Even "Open a file in advanced mode" (video + subtitles in list boxs) doesn't manage to play the subtitles.

Where do I file the bug report with screenshots ?

VLC 1.0.5 :

VLC 2flowers :

(in both first picture we can see the "drag and drop" on VLC window)
