Launch FS and force aspect ratio

Hello All,

I'm a long time vlc user but can't seem to find the options to always launch full screen (I have set the appropriate display and turned off blacking) and force the aspect ratio to 16:9

I know where the setting for the latter is in windows so I'm guessing the osx app doesn't have this implemented yet.. ?

Any guidance is appreciated. I can probably create an applescript app to do this and associate that with filetypes.. just wondering if I am missing something simple.

Thanks!

You can enable the fullscreen mode by default in VLC's preferences (video category). The aspect ratio setting is quite hidden on the Mac. You can find in the advanced preferences, which can be displayed by clicking the "All" toggle at the bottom of the preferences window. It's also located in the Video category.

VLC Mac
IDK how to set permanent 16:9, but it's possible to disable Force Aspect Ratio for non diagonally resize (up down) under video tab
Version 2.2.1 OS X 10.7
