mac os & fullscreen controls

hi there,

i use vlc 1.1.10 on a mac os 10.6,

and the fullscreen controls look really tiny on a 27'' screen, especially the time line is very uncomfortable to click.

is there any way to improve, or will i have to wait for the new GUI?
if it is the later, is there a rough estimate to aim for? summer? fall? 2012? :D

As far as I am aware there is no way to change the size of the controls. Not having the luxury of a high resolution screen I never saw this issue. Feel free to open a ticket in the bug reporting system as a feature request.

As for when the new UI comes out it all depends on available developers and their available time. We have very few MacOS X VLC developers and as with all VLC developers they do this in their spare time, so it will happen when it is stable. For the moment it is only available for people who are willing to build and develop it.

Please file a feature request so I don't forget about this, thanks! (preferably against the 1.2 target on trac.videolan.org/vlc)

Trace system is here: https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/

What issue are you having creating the account?

Edit: I have created the ticket: https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/4941
