Loading Subtitles from Web Inteface using iPod/iPhone Remote

Since 2 updates ago I'm not able to load a file with subtitle (if I open it to playlist in my Mac works) in VLC Remote. I'm using newly updated VLC and VLC Remote under a Mac OS X latest update on an iPod Touch 3rd Generation also with latest update.

Sorry, VLC Remote is not developed by the VideoLAN team, but by hobbyist software. Please in touch with them to solve this problem.

hi - I'm the vlc remote developer. I think I can add a little info here.

this isn't actually an issue with vlc remote, but rather with the http interface.

if you open a file with the standard interface, then vlc opens any srt file with the same name from the same folder

e.g. open /movies/somemovie.avi
and vlc will add
/moview/somemovie.srt

if you open /moview/somemovie.avi through the http interface, then you don't get the same behaviour (no subtitle file is loaded)

I have added a ticket to trac
https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/4008

Thanks for the details. A patch would be welcome of course ;)

It is the same problem for cdg files as well. When loading an mp3, if there is an associated cdg file, vlc would normally load the cdg file automatically but when using the remote(HTTP interface) it does not work. Hopefully it is fix in the next release. Thanks
