De-interlacing broken on 1.1.0?

I am having trouble trying to figure out enable deinterlacing on the Mac verison of VLC 1.1.0

On the Windows version under the Video menu there are two sub menus: Deinterlace and Deinterlace Mode.

The Deinterlace sub menu allows you to turn deinterlacing on and off. The Deinterlace Mode menu allows you to change the deinterlace algorithm.

The Mac version only has the Deinterlace Mode sub menu and I can not find an equivalent menu on the Mac version that allows me to turn deinterlacing on and off.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

I believe this is a bug, please file a bugreport on trac.videolan.org

If you press "d" on the keyboard, the deinterlace method you choose will be enabled but there should be a menu option for this as well.
