Hi,
It would be so much more comfortable if VLC media player would support the "go to sleep" function by holding down the Play/Pause button on the Apple Remote. An alternative would be to be able to quit VLC with the Apple Remote... The Menu button can do more than display the playtime

Dear developers, I want to sleep my mac from remote with active VLC too! Please create this function as quickly as you can.

I'll donate 8 euros! That should be enough for a pizza. You like pizza, don't you? I still want to turn off my mac without standing up from bed. :.-(

this took way longer than it should have. However, this feature will finally be available in VLC 2.0.2, which will be released shortly.
