VLC mysteriously opens two video windows for one video

Hi all.

I have one WMV file that somehow causes VLC to open two video windows. One of them has the normal controls and title bar, the other is just a borderless window showing the same video content. Well, it's roughly the same; it appears to be of slightly lower quality.

Is this known behavior?

Thanks.

Is it possible that this very WMV file contains 2 video tracks in different qualities? Have a look at the Video menu to make sure.

If this also happens with other files, I guess that you accidentely enabled the "duplicate" filter which allows you to output the same video multiple times on the same screen.
