turning off file titles

does anyone know if there is a way to turn off the name of the file which appears when each video file starts to play during a playlist? Thanks
short explanation:
preferences -> video -> Show media title on video
long explanation:
open vlc preferences.
make sure the All radiobutton is selected.
go to video.
uncheck "Show media title on video"
