Hi folks,

I'm having troubles with audio and video playback since the 1.0.0/1.0.1 Versions on OS X 10.5(MacBookPro4,1)/10.6(MacBook1,1).
Until the last version I used before (0.9.2) I had no troubles at all but since I updated videos (DivX-Avi) and audio (mp3) start stuttering on playback when I'm opening apps like several Adobe apps or e.g. Firefox, etc. also VLC starts stuttering when there's a lot of disc activity. Quite annoying as you may guess...

Is this some kind of Caching issue?

vlc 1.01 is very choppy on my macbook pro. whenever the system is busy with something else, like coping large amounts of data, compiling something - vlc can freeze video, skip playback, even just on mp3s. downloaded the 0.8.6i version - works like a charm.
what gives?
