about the message of vlc

sorry my wrong english...i dont speak english ^^
Ill try to explain...
when I open the VLC open the message: can't be opened on a locked volume. now quit.
and the vlc close =/
what means this message?
what should i do?
what do i do? <<?? I dont know
understand?

Looks like a permission problem to me...
I think you should:
- try by logging in with another username
- try to remove the VLC package and reinstalling it
- try a verification of permission on your hard drive
Is vlc the only program giving you this error?

yes...i dont know use mac well...
i recently bought a mac (this correct? xD)
seems that this message appears in vlc portable

Nothing wrong with being new
I am suspecting you are trying to launch VLC from the disk image. What you should do is copy (drag and drop) the VLC application to the Applications folder and then launch it from there.
