unable to figure out how to make or save video snapshots OSX

It was sadly simple on windows so why isn't it on a Mac? The directtory in Preferences does not save and there is no clear way to tell how to save video snapshots or recording. I'm quite unclear as to how most of the changes even work and see little difference in the player itself besides MASSIVE improvment in quality, espcially mkv files. For this I would love to thank you guys who work so hard at developing the best media player out there.

But still, the ability to change the interface like on windows would be nice. Like how you can change button locations or place new ones on the player or full screen controls. I really want to do that on my Mac. Thank you for your time and hard work. Keep up the great job and I anxiously await the final release of 1.0.0. I've been telling my friends about it but they want to wait for the final release. Anyways, thanks and looking forward to what you guys have to say ^^
