If you don't explain a bit more, you will not get help.

I don't know what else to explain. I'm using a Sony memory stick pro in a media card reader attached to my imac.
Because Sony doesn't provide software to read the card on a mac... I'm using the Video Lan player to read this mxf file.
The VLC produces the video, but no sound. I've contacted Apple, but they have no answers.
I don't get any kind of error messages.
These clips are interviews done with a Sony Xd camera... for a tv station in North Carolina where I work.
I'm trying to log the interviews for news story's.
Thank you for your consideration.

If you don't give us the messages with verbose set to 2, we can't do anything.

What messages? If you're referring to error messages, I haven't received any. If it's something else I don't understand.

I'd like to once again ask for help.
I posted the messages to the problem as asked... but no reply.
Is anyone using the VLC player on a Mac to view MXF files produced by a Sony XDcam?
I can see the video, but cannot hear the audio.
Thanks!

I am seeing the same thing with Win 7-64, vlc 1.1.9 and with the same files running vlc 1.0.1 it works fine
I am capturing direct hdsdi, and for some reason it doesn't like the xdcam audio.
it almost looks like a mismatched sample rate issue with 48khz since if I jump ahead in the timeline the audio is good for 1 sec then mutes again.
