j'ai téléchargé la version 0.9.8a pour Mac et dedans c'est la version 0.9.8.
En lançant cette version, VLC me dit qu'il y a une mise à jour de sécurité 0.9.8a à télécharger.

Par ailleurs, peut-on espérer avoir une version 0.9.8a du plugin VLC pour Mac ?

And yes, there's a problem with 0.9.8a. By downloading 0.9.8a, the VLC.app that is inside is actually 0.9.8 instead of the 0.9.8a version.

Did a manual download of the latest stable version, supposedly 9.8a... deleted prefs to start with new version. Upon launch the version check said you have 9.8, not 9.8a, do you wish to download? and wherever the program links to for a download got a second version of 9.8 instead of 9.8a as well.

Quick attention to this not so much for the security improvement, but the needless drain on the server bandwidth would be a good idea.

So, when will this error be fixed ?

Yeah, it seems they release a version and go to sleep for a few days instead of quickly fixing what should be a simple issue.
