Fade out

Postby alessign » 08 Oct 2008 00:00

Hi developers, I am using only this player and I am very happy. There is just one think missing. I like when click on "next" button smooth change of the song with fade out and blend let's say last 3 sec from ending song with first 3 sec of next song. I've seen this function only by COWON products...Is there anybody to be able to write this script? Music is very important for me and I don't like hard jumps to next songs. One second quiet....I thought we have 21st century

It would be a nice feature, yes, but it's probably too hard to implement.

Yes, it requires that two "playlist items" play at the same time atm, and that is not possible in VLC atm. It's a very difficult design limitation to correct. (and one with little benefits for most users)

Why not just use itunes if you want songs to crossfade?
VLC 3.0.11 / Mac OS X 10.13.6 / Intel Core i7 HD3000
