Mac OS X midi support

I noticed in the list of features that midi support had not been tested for OS X...... It bonafiably does not work! Not a sound or a squeak.
This is probably the only feature that QuickTime has over VLC.....! Wahoo. Really who cares about midi any more though. lol.
Tested several midi files on an intel machine running VLC 0.9.3
Not sure who needs to know in terms of the documentation.
