very slow on PPC Mac

Hello
the new 0.9.2 version of VLC is very slow on a G4 PPC. even playing low quality divx video plays very choppy, it bogs the hole system down, i had to move back to 0.8.6I to be-able watch any video.

ok, so I stupidly trashed my older version of vlc after installing - but not testing - 0.9.2... so, i'd like to find the previous version, but it seems to be unavailable... any help appreciated.. ASAP HELP!!

Can't wait for 0.9.3!
Problem wat that Altivec was broken in ffmpeg for a month or 2. When it was fixed we simply forgot to reenable.
