Windowed Black Areas in 0.9.2

In 0.8.6i I was able to freely change the size of a window to fit a video if I had changed the aspect ratio. I can't seem to do this in 0.9.2.
The window seems unable to resize outside of the original aspect ratio. The following is an image showing a clear illustration of what I mean.

If there is a way to fix this, I'd be very appreciative if you could inform me how.

This is not possible using current version, yet it is pretty trivial to fix...
Fill a trac ticket and assign it to me eventually...

I'm afraid I don't know how to do that.

A user had a good idea for this. Using alt-drag to make the window free-flow, whereas normal drag keeps our current behaviour. Alt-drag is a common sizing shortcut in Graphics editing applications, so many people will be able to find it.
