VLC and uPnP-support

Dear All!

For several days I tried to (re)compile VLC for Mac OSX to support uPnP (as a client) but it doesn't seem to work anyway. I am an experienced hobbyist in programming issues but do not have any further experiences in programming an compiling OSX apps. However after these days of trial and error and not getting VLC compiled I stop this and here is my question:

Is there any possibility to receive a compiled release of VLC including uPnP client capabilites? I would appreciate that because there is no serious alternative to VLC (expecially in my oppinion MediaCloud is none).
