VLC 0.8.6h creates empty snapshot on Mac OS X 10.4.11

Postby mde » 02 Jul 2008 18:01

Just acquired the latest version of VLC Player, and very impressed by the features. BUT…
When I try to create a snapshot of a video frame (Video->Snapshot or cmd-alt-S), VLC claims "main: could not create snapshot <$HOME>/Desktop/vlcsnap-3435671.png". In fact it creates an empty file of the given name.
Presumably this is a bug? Or am I missing something?

I have had the same problem since the last three updates. I originally had set the default file type to "*.png". It was a very useful feature to be able to use a screen snapshot for a DVD cover. I am having this problem with both a Power Mac dual core G5's.

The latest version of VLC 0.9.2 now creates snapshots.
