0.8.6h contribs build issues
Posted: 16 Jun 2008 06:11
Building vlc 0.8.6h on OS/X 10.4.11. Used "Compile VLC on Mac OS X" from the wiki as a guide.
1. Checked pre-requisites and installed git. Already had xcode 2.5.
2. Downloaded sources.
3. cd'd to extras/contrib and ran ./bootstrap.
4. Ran make src, but had a number of issues.
a. faad2 would not make until I manually applied the INSTALL_NAME macro fix (viewtopic.php?f=12&t=45587).
b. faac would not make until I copied the libtool script from another library (in my case, speex) to src/faac/libtool.
c. libdvdcss would not make because it wanted glibtool. Did a ,/bootstrap and ./configure and then make src which seemed to worked.
d. libdvdnav would not make and I'm stuck. Output, on a second attempt to make src.
I don't understand what it's trying to do. Can anyone shed some light on this please.
Thanks
Tom
