First i just wana say that i realy love this player.... I'm jusing it on my macbook und on my Pc i'm jusing mostly Vlc and sometimes Mediaplayer classic. So thanks for all the work.
So i was watching some Anime serie "FLCL" it had very good quality because it was an MKV file. The strange thing was, that in Vlc the Subtiles very sometimes strange like more then one line at the sametime.... so sadly i had to try it wich another Player.... In the end it worked with Quicktime player (wich is just a shitty player). In quicktime the Subtiles lookt very nice diffrent charakter had diffrent colouler and i finely got why it was so strange sometimes in VLC... allways when it had someting writen on the top of the screen or VLC just writes it all at the bottem.... so is there any way how to display the subtiles like in Quicktime....would be great.... cose i just hate using Quick time.

greez Dave

Ps: sorry for my shitty english....

yes, anime subtitles are often ssa files and VLC doesn't support it correctly.

i would recomend MPlayer OS X, and Niceplayer plus they play videos in a .mkv 1000% better.

Just tested the XBMC port for OS X.... It's very well done and it supports the subtitles (ssa) very well and it has a good upscaler.... give it a try....
