still problems with WMV3 on VLC...

hey i downloaded 0.8.6f on my new iMac intel (intel version of VLC) and it is said that since 0.8.6, VLC has been able to read WMV3 without problems, but it gives me this error message as i try to open this .avi video

there is no image, but the sound is playing.
what do i do??

(is it cuz im still on 10.4.11?)

i even tried opening with windows media player, i tried flip4mac, everything, all the other players i could think of... nothing.

im serious, everything related to microsoft is just a complete nightmare... Why dont people understand this? mac = easy, microsoft = complete crap
