HELP! .mkv high quality media can't play!

I used VLC to play .mkv media form(720p) but it ran just few seconds,then turned down automatically by itself~
Anybody can help to deal with it

.MKV containers are harsh on system resources to play, let alone with HD quality video will only make it worse. right now VLC on Mac lacks in this area with .mkv and a few other containers and other codecs.

no sorry not off hand, VLC is the only media player i use and i wait for this issue to get resolved (hopefully, but not likely to happen anytime soon)

Yes, there is a chance, but depending on having a SDK and an iPhone to test it.

It just cant either

Try with QuickTime and perian : http://www.perian.org. It plays mkv very well. The only thing which is buggy is AC3 thru optical out.
