GPG signing key for OS X packages?

Hello all,
Just downloaded 0.8.6d for Tiger and tried to verify the GPG signature, which is made with key ID AA5F4DE6. But that key doesn't seem to exist on many of the keyservers I tried (my GPG installation defaults to subkeys.pgp.net).
I finally grabbed it from the keyserver at pgp.mit.edu, but I wonder -- is there a reason the key hasn't been synchronized across all of them? I thought that was supposed to happen automatically. Also, are the signing keys posted somewhere among the Videolan pages? I looked around but couldn't find them...
Cheers,
/HJ
