Quick Look Intergration

We all know, or atleast us on leopard that QuickLook is such a time saver, and correct me if i'm wrong, but it also generates the previews for the thumbnails, i was just wondering, wouldnt it be great if the VLC media player intergrated into QuickLook for out-of-the-box-not-supportedfile types, like WMV. This would be incredibly useful, because without plugins, WMV files just get simple icons.

Any body else agree?

We consider to add this feature, but as you can see in the VLC on Leopard thread, we are currently busy with more important issues.

Thanks to Google's Summer of Code results, creating a QuickLook plugin based upon the VLC engine should be fairly easy, though it isn't trivial.

I saw where you mentioned on Hacker News ( https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=9120889 ) that you worked on something like this in the past and it was relatively easy to renew. Are you going to release this soon or will someone else work on it? Thank you for VLC!!!

I'm not sure I understand what you mean.
