Okay, so I have a spare computer of mine that I store all my media on. It's connected via 10/100mb ethernet to a small wireless router I bought, which is rated at 54mb/s. Now, even when I'm 5 feet away, streaming movies and such from the computer to my laptop, I get frequent pauses (which I am assuming are VLC just buffering). Would increasing the cache fix this? If so, how would I do it? I've tried to find the setting, but there are so many.. Or, would there be a better way to stream media across my network? Currently I just have a shared folder, which I navigate to and then double-click the file to load.
