EyeTV Support?

I've noticed that there has been an EyeTV tab in the input of the Mac nightlies for some time now. Will that ever be completed or has that been sent to the back burner in some semi-permanent fashion? There doesn't seem to be anything in the code beyond stubs, and it appears to have been that way for over a year now. I'm curious because I'm trying to build a home streaming system around VLC and am wondering if I should find a different approach.
I just noticed that I posted a similar question back in March and never got an answer.

Is there some unwritten taboo on asking this question? I feel like I just did something unimaginably rude at a dinner party.

You may want to have a look here:

Btw, I am interested in such a feature too!

Thanks for the link. I read it, but I'm not sure what the comments mean. I saw the "will be ready for 9.0", but I'm not sure if that's still accurate. I suppose I'll keep going with my hacked-together solution (EyeTV->CyTV->VLC)
