Is there documentation on VLC's Applescript capabilities? I've searched the forum and the site and haven't found anything that lays it all out. Thanks.
No docs that I know of outside of the AppleScript dictionary.
The VLC AppleScript command suite is pretty thin. I have to rely heavily on activating Finder to control VLC through keystroke emulation. That's a pretty clunky approach, but it does work moderately well if you code carefully and give VLC enough time with "delay" commands to let it finish whatever you just told it to do. Try/End Try will keep you out of trouble most of the time.
