VLC keeps crashing

I opened an mkv file last night and it works fine, but when ai start to drag the dot to fast forward vlc, and aftera while, it will just crash out of the blue.

yeah that is all it does. I mean I can't view a video completly.

It is a shame such a terrible bug can happen to such a great program.

Yeah, isn't that a bummer? And based on the lack of any kind of helpful response on this forum, who knows if and/or when anything is being done about it?!

I read somewhere else that if you install an older version (even 0.86) it solves most of the problems on OSX.

I don't know if it's true, haven't tried it myself.

One problem. I use an Intel Mac 10.4.8.

So that link is useless, plus I did delte my data and start over and it didn't do a thing.

Why useless? did you try do d/l and install an older version? like 0.86 or 0.85?

did it work?
