Real media and WMA-WMV support

Postby M-Rick » 07 Jan 2007 00:21

Why to not use the Real media support from M-Player in vlc ?
It works very well in M-Player, so that should be possible to use in vlc too ?

As for WMA-WMV, why to not use the QuickTime plug-in Flip4Mac support to have WMA-WMV support ?

It is more convenient to be able to use just one player to do everything than a different one for every format available ...

VLC has better and more complete features than M-Player or QuickTime, but it could even be better if it used what it is already existing.

WmV is supported in VLC 0.8.6. About RealMedia, noone has coded it for a lot of reasons that you can find on this very forum.
