Now this has happened several times. VLC opens ok. However, when a video is selected or DnD'ed, VLC crashes. It doesn't matter the file type. Im not sure how to find the relevant crash log. However, I can say that restoring or trashing VLC's pref doesn't help. The only way I found to resolve this problem is to zap the PRAM.

I have an Intel Mac Mini with 2GB of ram running 10.4.8
