unable to pause or stop video playback

PPC Mac OS X 10.4.8 w/ all updates to OS and QT. Using nightly builds 0.9.0-svn from last week or so same problems.

Playback of videos is smooth.

Hitting pause button doesn't result in pause of video, but pause button highlights in blue color. Beach ball starts.

Subsequently hitting stop button is innefective. Difficulty quitting at this point. Takes multiple atttempts to quit app.


Have erased/reset permissions without change.

Not getting notations in VLC crash log, but am seeing this in console.log

It's in active development, sometimes it just don't work. You shouldn't expect anything else.
