Confusions Regarding VLC for Mac OS X

Hey guys, just got a MacBook (Intel). At first I had Flip4Mac plug-in for QuickTime to play Windows Media files, but later I found out that Flip4Mac can only decode up to WM9 files, WM10 files are unsupported, I decide to give VLC a try.

The confusions I have are 1) is there no VLC plug-in for Safari on a Intel Mac? What are the alternatives methods available to enable VLC Safari support? 2) Does VLC supports WM10 files? (Not necessarily files encoded in DRM.) If not, are there any other media players for Mac that does?

Thanks!

If your files are DRM free, i suggest that you try a recent 0.8.6 nigtly build from http://nightlies.videolan.org (or 0.9.0 ... but that's a bit unstable)
