Will Core Animation finally B able 2 give VLC an amazing UI?

Postby DevilsRejection » 11 Aug 2006 09:07

Sorry for the internet slang, I had to use the "b" and "2" to fit all that content into one line.

Anyway, when I saw Core Animation, and the guy said "front row like interface" the first thing that popped into my skull was VLC NEEDS A FACELIFT

So what do the developers think? Seriously not only does the UI of VLC for OS X suck, but the UX (User Experiance) is severly lacking

Don't get me wrong, VLC does what it's supposed to do fantastically, but isn't the standard most Mac applications go for. They want to look good too.

Use Skins2 module and make your own pretty skin?

It's not like programs like iTunes are pretty, iTunes is infact one of the worst programs I've had the displeasure of using on OSX, it didn't take me long to compile my own version of amaroK on X11 and use that instead.

Ah, i hear a volunteer. How very nice.

DJ, who is still waiting for all those Mac OSX developers with great GUI skills to actually surface.
Don't use PMs for support questions.
