VLC on Intel Imac

Well, i'm afraid it doesn't work on mine.
My isp supplies VLC as part of a tv access over broadband package.
Basically they supply an html playlist that when clicked upon opens the tv channel chosen. (Sorry, im not very technical).
VLC 0.8.4 PPC worked fine on my Imac G3 (even though it always gave the following error message - "main: no suitable access module for `/Users/nickalexander/Desktop/vlc-output.ts" it worked anyway.
Under rosetta, however, it gives the same message and then just quits unexpectedly.
I tried the Ox86 build 0.8.4-svn and this gives the same error message; but then displays the tv flux correctly but with all the wrong colours (everything is fluo green/pink).
Any ideas??
Any way I can help by testing the new version in my intel mac, let me know.

Concerning the VLC build for Intel you use: if I'm not mistaken this isn't an official build, but rather originated in the OSx86 Project Forum. That aside, your problem with that build can be fixed, I think, if you change the option "Video output module" under Preferences -> Video -> Output modules to "Quartz Video".

Yep, tht fixes it

Yes, the quartz thing fixes the color problem...

It is an unofficial build, you're right, but it works pretty well on my intel imac. It quits very occasionally, but its good enough while waiting for the official build.
Thanks for the help.

Could someone possibly compile a version of VLC with a Universal binary supporting new Intel based Macs?
