I have been using VLC to play IPTV for many years. Everything was fine up to version 3.0.17

I have problem with VLC 3.0.20 and 3.0.18 (3.0.19?):
Playback of most channels in the playlist with a URI of the form http://iptv.media-ix.com:8090/tv-3/index.m3u8 stops after 10-20 seconds (although some such channels play normally).
Channels with URI type http://iptv.media-ix.com:8090/tv-N/mpegts are played normally
All channels play normally in VLC 3.0.17
