Video merge: MacOS GUI doesn't correspond to user documentation

Hi,

MacOS 12.6.3, VLC 3.0.18

Having installed the VLC media player to merge two MP4 video files, I can't follow the instructions in the user documentation, since my GUI doesn't look at all similar to what is described.

Even taking into account that the "File" menu is the "Media" menu, see https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.ph ... ge#p532303, I can't find a way to add two files, eg. under "File - Convert/Stream", as a prerequisite for merging them.

The remark in the above post seems to contradict the user documentation. Is it a version specific statement that VLC can't merge video files?

Thank you very much in advance.

VideoProc Vlogger (https://www.videoproc.com/video-editing-software/) worked for merging two recordings of a webinar producing an mp4 file for YouTube upload. Apple's iMovie apparently should be able to do this, too. Both tools provide options for use free of charge.

Happy International Women's Day!
