Storage location for RAR'd files

Hi!
Had some RAR files to unpack, and VLC started to do the job when I clicked them. In the end, they're files I don't need to keep, and I'd like to be able to delete them from my system. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the path/location.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
