Image Wall with Hardware Acceleration - windows disappear

Strange situation where I'm running a 1x2 image wall across two projectors. When I play the video with image wall setup, the windows completely disappear, they're not hidden or anything. I know it's playing because I can hear the audio and the timeline is running. However when I turn off Hardware Acceleration, the windows show up without any issues.

Turning off Image Wall, I can play the single video with HA enabled no problem.

Bug?

Macbook Pro (Mid-2015 Retina, Intel Iris Pro) - just fully wiped and restored
MacOS Monterey
VLC 3.0.17.3

I've been able to replicate this both on this MBP and a 2017 MacBook Air as well.

I'm fine running it without Hardware Acceleration but figured I'd bring it up.
