It is 2021 - How do we display album art on Mac OSX?

Hey guys, I am sure this has been asked multiple times. Searching the forum for Album Art Mac there is nothing to be found on how to display album art during audio playback on VLC? Why is this basic functionality not available to MAC users in 2021? If anyone has any answers or solutions please enlighten us all.

Yes, the code was written and is working well. However, other parts of the major update are not ready yet (for all platforms). VLC 4 is coming, but I am unsure about the date.

We're now in Sept 2023. Can you provide on update on the status of album art display for VLC on Mac?

I don't have much information to add compared to last year. The new user interface was even further improved in the last 12 months for all platforms, but version 4 of VLC is not ready yet.
