VLC playlist not displaying correct file name, instead the original name/or file description (I have changed original file names). How to resolve this?


However, some of the files do show the correct name, only a small percentage. It is random though, all files are same kind and similar to each other. Can't think of any reason why this is happening. It is making very tough for me to organise the files.

Also I have noticed when adding files to the playlist, it shows the correct name for a brief second, once it has analysed the data and duration, it changes to the original wrong name. The small percentage of files that show the correct name stay corrected and don't change. Very strange.

I have gone through google and the forums, with no luck. Any advice would be appreciated.

How should I resolve this?

Same here, tried multiple methods of loading files into the playlist. Seems to change sort order and only for the m4v file

Same issue here. Mac and VLC. All looks good at the start and later player updates name of the played channels to crap
