Attempting to download YouTube to play in Keynote

Postby Spokane » 20 Mar 2021 15:07

VLC 3.0.12 running on Mojave 10.14.6 on a 2015 MacBook Pro. Hesitant to upgrade to Catalina or Big Sur due to perceived loss of functionality in iTunes. I am new to VLC. So far I have attempted drag-and-drop with no results. I have 15 YouTube links I want to put into a Keynote file for playback. My hope is to share the Keynote on Zoom.

VLC is not the right tool to download anything from the internet. It can play YouTube links, but downloading is hard. Use a designated tool for this purpose such as youtube-dl
