Display Time Remaining in video output

I am using VLC for media playback on primarily a MacOS but occasionally Windows in a studio setting. I'd like to have a big clock on the monitor output for audio files that shows a countdown of the time remaining of the track so that my talent can see it (not in the track list or UI). I can't seem to do it with Marquee (the only variables I see are about system time, not media time) or find a visualization that does it. I've been Googling for a while and can't seem to find a way to do this. Any thoughts or solutions that's anyone's figured out? I'm on latest 3.0.11.
