IPTV Link working on Mobile, NOT on MAC OS

Hi guys,
I'm using the latest version of VLC (3.0.11.1) and MAC OS (10.15.7). I have an IPTC link that works fine on Android but it doesn't on VLC. When on Android I normally use it through IPTV Extreme and then open it with VLC.
However when I use the same link on VLC on MAC OS, I get "Your input can't be opened
VLC is unable to open the MRL.."
Why is that?
