Crackle & Pop goes VLC (bluetooth speakers)

I've been getting crackling sound playing mp3s from bluetooth speakers from VLC Version 3.0.10 Vetinari (Intel 64bit) on OSX 10.15.4.

Weirdly, I had a similar issue with an older macbook and an older version of VLC, and a different set of bluetooth speakers (and different sound files). Back then I assumed the fault was with my speakers. But now i have the same issue 2 years later with a completely different set up. Ive tried various sound files, all with similar crackling & pop sounds. The same files are fine played using a non VLC player. The files are fine if played on VLC without bluetooth. This appears to be a VLC problem and Im surprised there is no obvious solution to this.
Any assistance with this ongoing problem appreciated.
Graham

I've completely uninstalled VLC and then reinstalled. There was no crack and pop for a whole week, but it has returned today. I have made no new settings. Its baffling! Grateful for any help with this problem.
Otherwise, looks like a need to find a new media player.

I'm having the same exact problem described by The user that posted the original Issue. I just got brand new set of Bluetooth Headphones and they have been Working fine With a wired connection Of course. But when I connect to them to my fire tablet by Bluetooth With the VLC player from the Amazon app store, I started to notice some light snap crackle popping Sounds Clearly audible on multiple mp3 audio tracks with the sound turned down to a moderate volume. As a side note there's also skipping/jumping at the beginning of certain tracks Which which I've noticed with VLC for a while now. However when switching to a different player on the same device, a fire tablet, the Snap crackle pop Does not occur, only with VLC player. I also tried Uninstalling and reinstalling VLC As well as making sure I had the most recent updated version and it didn't make any difference after restarting the tablet - no difference. But the same mp3 tracks can still play clean using a different player that is not VLC. In fact all the other players available on my tablet play it clean with no snap crackle pops Through Bluetooth, not wired. I actually haven't tried wire plugging the same headphones into the tablet to try playing the track though VLC but I'm probably gonna do that next just to make sure it's only a fault of the Bluetooth connection which it appears to be. I listened to part of an audible audiobook Put out by amazon And there was no snap crackle pop with the Bluetooth headphones activated. Perhaps there is some sort of audio setting in VLC that needs to be adjusted. Perhaps hardware acceleration needs to be turned off or on to optimize performance or there is some sort of buffering or coding issue. I'm guessing there must be a trouble shooting guide somewhere but I haven't taken the time to locate it yet. Any pointers or Guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.... Thank you

@Juker1979 please open a new thread on the Android forum. Your issue is unrelated to a Mac problem from many years ago. Thank you.
