Hello All,
I recently fired up VLC 3.0.8 on my 2012 MBP running macOS 10.15.2 to play a DVD video on my computer (using an external USB disk drive since my internal one was replaced with a HD) and am running into graphical issues. The menu screen would display but was all pixelated and mostly unreadable. If I just pressed enter to start the movie, the sound would play (though choppy) and the player would indicate that the file was running, however, no video was being displayed. Other videos (mp4, etc) that I have on my computer are displayed from the player just fine.
Any thoughts for what settings, etc could be at fault here? I understand its an older computer so I might need to tweak some things. The external drive and disk work fine along with VLC on another newer MBP I have at the home as well so I know those HW pieces are working fine.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
