How to play a file/URL in terminal with an existing process of VLC

Postby StreamerVLC » 04 Oct 2019 02:04

According to the https://wiki.videolan.org/Mac_OS_X/, I know I can open VLC with the command "/Applications/VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/VLC". However, it will create a new process of VLC. Is there any way to open a file/URL with the running process in Mac OS?
