Nope. No Joy. BETA 11 and the latest vlc 4.0 doesn't work. no loading, nothing.

The last version to work and open was the one in this pic. I have tried every one since. That version isn't playing some of the video files also.

Weird I can not reproduce. Can you try opening it using the Terminal please, that should give more information.

To do that open the Terminal.app, drag and drop the app and after the VLC.app append: /Contents/MacOS/VLC -vv

This is the vlc-4.0.0-20190919-0418-dev.dmg

Again, the only one that was working fine was vlc-4.0.0-20191015-1319-dev.dmg. Anything newer is a no go for me.

This one won't play some video formats that have previously played. like 264 and some others.

The latest one loads. But errors out. If I click on any of the 3 options. It closes. Does not play video.

The media library is corrupted because we broke the migration scheme between multiple development versions. This is not specific to macOS Catalina. To fix, you need to delete the database (and loose all meta information stored there).
You can find the relevant files here:

Make sure to delete the entire folder.

How about this issue. My controls are always limited to the right side of the screen and only movable a little. I cant pull them out of the off screen part.

At first the file was ~/Library/Application Support/org.videolan/ml - Not ~/Library/Application Support/org.videolan.vlc/ml

I just deleted the ml.db and it worked fine. The latest today . I am going to delete the other files
