The application "VLC" cannot be opened

Hey Guys,

Sorry in advance if I'm not posting this in the correct section.

I've been unable to open VLC for a couple of months now, it just bounces in the doc for a second or two then closes. I get the error The application "VLC" cannot be opened.



I've tried reinstalling - installing older versions etc and I'm just really stumped and frustrated trying to figure out the problem now!

Have you guys got any idea on how I can fix it?

What OS version? What VLC version?

VLC 3.0.7.1 and MacOS 10.14.6

try using an uninstaller application to Tempe it all the way from the system. restart, then reinstall. I have had better luck with the latest nightlies VLC 4.XXXXXXX because you are on the latest consumer OS X. I'm Using OS X 10.15 Beta 3 and the latest Beta Nightly from VLC
